Private experience through the Andes
High Mountain Mendoza: Aconcagua and the Andes
Discover High Mountain Mendoza on a private journey through incredible landscapes, Potrerillos, Uspallata, Puente del Inca, the Penitentes area and the impressive Aconcagua.
A day among giants
One of Mendoza’s most impressive routes
The High Mountain Mendoza experience takes you through some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Andes along the corridor connecting Mendoza with the Chilean border.
As we move forward, the landscape changes: Potrerillos Dam, the Uspallata Valley, historic mountain routes, Puente del Inca, Penitentes and finally the area of Aconcagua Provincial Park.
At Bem-vindo Mendoza, we offer this experience privately, adapting stops and timing to the day’s conditions and to your travel style.

The road is part of the journey
From Mendoza to the heart of the Andes
High Mountain is not only about reaching Aconcagua. It is about enjoying every change in the landscape and discovering the different places that appear as we make our way into the Andes.

First iconic view
Dique Potrerillos
One of the first major landscapes you encounter as you enter the Andes is Potrerillos.
The contrast between the water, mountains and sky makes the dam one of the most memorable views along the route.
It is an excellent opportunity to stop, take in the scenery and begin to appreciate the vastness of the Andes.

The mountain valley
Uspallata
Surrounded by mountains, Uspallata is one of the most important towns along the High Mountain corridor and a gateway to the great landscapes of the Andes.
Its location and history make it a distinctive stop on the route toward Puente del Inca and Aconcagua.
Depending on the itinerary and the day’s conditions, we can make different stops as we continue along Route 7.

On the way to Aconcagua
Penitentes and high-altitude landscapes
As we continue climbing, the Andes become increasingly impressive. The Penitentes area is part of this high-mountain landscape.
During winter, when conditions allow, snow completely transforms the scenery and creates a very different experience.
Snowfall and accumulation vary depending on the season, snowfall events and weather conditions.

Nature and history
Puente del Inca
Puente del Inca is one of the most iconic places in Mendoza’s High Mountain region.
Its unique natural formation, colors and Andean surroundings make it one of the most distinctive stops on the way to Aconcagua.
It is a place where nature, history and one of Mendoza’s classic landscapes come together.

The main highlight
Aconcagua Provincial Park
Llegar a la zona del Aconcagua Provincial Park es uno de los momentos más esperados de la experiencia de Alta Montaña.
There stands Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas, surrounded by one of the most impressive landscapes in the Andes.
Depending on the time of year, weather conditions and open access areas, the visit may include Horcones and its viewpoints.
Aconcagua
The vastness of the Andes
Mountains, lagoons, snow and landscapes that change completely depending on the time of year.

Winter in Mendoza
Experience snow in the Andes
During winter, the High Mountain region can completely transform. Snow-covered mountains, snow along the road and unique landscapes give the route a very different character.
